ABOUT ME
......just a few words
In over 30 years of living, breathing and working in the Health and Fitness industry I've had the opportunity to work with and alongside hundreds of men and women of all ages and with all body types. Each of us have a physical, psychological and spiritual blueprint and finding your flow and union is a fine balance.
It all started when I competed internationally in the late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s in swimming and waterpolo for New Zealand. I qualified as a fitness instructor and group trainer at internationally acclaimed Les Mills, where my focus was to train athletes, sports women, body builders whilst breaking free from the stigmas around women and weight training, in gaining strength without size and respecting each individual body's abilities.Â
I live with my two children. One a young adult, the other blooming into the digital teenager, and both of whom love sport. Like all parents motherhood has its enduring thrills and spills.
Personal tragedy took me on a healing path and Pilates became my medicine. Steadily I grew into its benefits and now teach this method with all its variations of mental and physical, functional and flow, core and flexibility, alignment and stability, breath and pause to beginners and the experienced alike.
I love teaching people of all ages and from various walks of life who want to de-groove their limits. People who are willing to be safely guided and ready to feel the language of their body in each session ....and as Joe Pilates once quotedÂ

GROUP MAT PILATES
Connecting with others
Online/in person sessions for small specific/friendship groups of up to 8 (contact me to schedule).
Online/in person larger group sessions for beginners, intermediate and advanced (see Class Schedule below).

Each class has a different focused energy. A complete system integrating the benefits of aligned movement for the mature adult or active competitor.

Online is clear functional flow, fascia release and multiple disciplines creating an essential structured session. Integrated breath work with specific exercises and relaxation makes this great session complete.

A full programme maximising the studios equipment includes DB weights, TRX, Swiss balls, resistant bands.

Classes are interchangeable online and other venues.

All classes are seasonally planned and integrated with other practises from Qigong, yoga, multiple breath work, relaxation and primal body weight movement. We also use small equipment such as resistant bands, small Pilates balls and fascia release prickle balls which I provide.
Each person brings their own mat and water for general hygiene reasons.
